If you decide to do it totally on your own without a mentor to work with you it could take far longer and be more expensive paying for mistakes than what it would have done if you had paid out for a guide in the first place
We have all heard of people who are making thousands very week just from selling other people’s courses and products. It really can happen I know I have actually met people who are multi-millionaires just through affiliate markets. However i also know of studies that show 95% of the people who go into affiliate marketing struggle to make over a hundred a month. To be honest I did for the first couple of years I was trying internet selling.
Why do most people struggle to make a sale and others succeed even beyond your wildest dream?
Honestly it has nothing to do with getting in on the ground floor at the start. It is not even about having a big budget to spend on promoting the product. Although you will need some start-up money to launch if you do it the right way you do not need to spend that much. We all recognise some money needs to be spent to launch any new business. Even a cleaner will need a mop and vacuum cleaner to start working for themselves. However the amount of money is not a major problem for most people. It can be done fairly cheaply.
Most people will have heard about people who built a website and customers flocked to it all day long every day. In reality that virtually never happens straight away.
Questions for you about affiliate markets and selling on the internet
What happens if the product you choose is not the right one. You will have spent time and effort to build the sale but then not get any or not enough customers.
What sort of website promotion are you going to do to get visitors to your website?
Are you going to spend a lot of money learning how to pick the right keywords to advertise on Google Adsense and pick the wrong word that bring the click that cost you money but no buyers? Believe me just starting on adwords can get very expensive.
Alternatively you can spend months developing links to get it ranking high in google and other search engines. All the time nobody knows how to find your website or even it exists unless you tell Auntie Nellie and she tell all her friends who don’t know how to use a computer never mind want to buy your products.
The best way is to find the right person to guide and mentor you though the early learning process. Be wary when choosing your mentor. I have seen internet selling training courses advertised on line that basically say buy this book on internet marketing techniques and then you can sell it on line as a guru. Are you sure the person offering they training has even walked the path or simply read the first chapter of the book they bought a few days ago.
Choosing the right person as a mentor coaching you through the early learning stage to make money fast can be dodgy. Illustrations of earnings shown on the internet can be forged or stolen from another website.
