There are times when I just would love to lay out on a warm beach or sit in the shade by a pool, reading a good book. I figure I’m like most everyone else in needing to keep a careful watch over the budget. It seems likely that we’ll need to put off the expensive trips for the time being. There are a few places with hot weather, hotels with pools, the beach and a few opportunities for saving a little money.
One obvious destination is Southern California. You will find mile after mile of beautiful beaches, and places to stay not far from the water. Check out the SoCal Vacation Guru for details on many beach communities and beach-oriented activities. The site includes tips and wisdom in planning your Southern California vacation.
There are travel deals to be found that will save money on your Orange County vacation. Cancun, Mexico is another candidate if you’re looking for even warmer weather.
Specifically, you can find many nice hotel deals online, and this resort city on the Yucatan Peninsula has a lot to offer summer travel visitors. The Hotel Zone has over 100 hotels, most of which have beach frontage. One thing that is not lacking in Cancun is warm weather.
There are a bunch of other resort cities in Mexico besides Cancun. Take a look at other places such as Anguilla and Antigua. Spend some time up front doing research so you learn about the culture and background of the place, and also to make sure you can come to wise decisions during your trip. I’m not sure how we made it before Google came along, but now it is possible to obtain an amazing amount of research information before you embark on your warm-weather vacation.
