And what better way to indulge in summer than with that very best of summertime entertainments – going to some other part of the continent you are not comfortable with as a way to live in a tent and eat moreover burned or barely cooked meals. Better yet, enjoy the miracles of getting your water from a faucet down the street (if you are lucky) rather than from the well known and user friendly sink in your home. And let us not neglect the charms of getting out of bed in the middle of the night to grope around for a flashlight so you can talk a walk through the dark unknown to a cold unlit toilet, at times even of the kind that is not alot more than a elementary hole in the ground. Sure enough, it is time for that wonder of wonders – camping!
I must allow to having fun in camping, generally have. When I was a youngster we would certainly all look forward to that two week holiday in the summer. Many months before my Dad would take out the maps of the border states and start to talk with my Mother about the diverse capabilities of the Oregon Coast in opposition to the mountains of Washington.
