Next month we see my grandma. I anticipate seeing her, even if she’s grown a bit stubborn in her later years. I won’t embarrass her by divulging her age, but let us just say she’s a woman with exhaustively seasoned wisdom.

The last time I visited her I brought my yamaha keyboard so I could perform some music for her. She relished it, but unfortunately since she’s not all there, she kept disrupting me to inquire of me to help her find a all in one printer. Yes, she actually uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I am just that bad at the keyboard.

I always find something enigmatic at her place when I see her. Last time, I observed many books on penny stocks on her coffee table. My nanna learning about buying penny stocks? That is nuts. I wonder what I will discover on her cocktail table this time.

This month will make for an active sojourn. I must put in her new Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then repair her garden cart. I also have to bring her old pots and pans to charity as she just bought a fresh set of pots and pans to replace them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I appreciate it, yet I also must chuckle as she always claims to have or utilize only the very best of this or that.

If all proceeds well, she’ll use both to dish me some fabulous java in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon. This sounds like more than reward enough for my effort. I am glad to help her out for nothing, but a little rich java and sweat ice cream doesn’t hurt.
